Description: Early Intervention services are provided for infants and toddlers from birth to three years of age. This program provides an array of services in a variety of settings, such as center-based programs, the home, childcare settings and early head start programs. There are currently 36 Early Intervention programs throughout Tennessee. DMRS works with the Tennessee Early Intervention System to make sure the program meets the needs of the children and families enrolled.

Description: WRCCC serves up to 50 children, ages one to four, from 6:30 to 5:30, five days per week, year round. Not simply a daycare, WRCCC is a school where learning begins at age 1. Aided by a well-trained staff and committed volunteers, the center works to jumpstart low-income children for public school so that they enter school on a level playing field with their suburban peers.

Description: The Metropolitan Action Commission Head Start Program of Nashville and Davidson County provides free pre-school education for income-eligible children ages 3-5 years old. There are 7 Head Start Centers and 3 partner sites throughout Nashville.
Eligibility: Acceptance to the Metropolitan Action Commission's Head Start Program is based on income eligibility. Families desiring to enroll their children into the Head Start Program, must meet the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines for Head Start. Below you will see the chart that is used to determine income eligibility.

Description: The Early Head Start (EHS) program is for low-income infants, toddlers, pregnant women and their families. EHS programs enhance children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development; assist pregnant women to access comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care; support parents' efforts to fulfill their parental roles; and help parents move toward self-sufficiency.
